Students got a taste for the high life in the latest college adventure with SRC Bede Sixth Form.
Business, Economics, Art and Photography students headed to Barcelona where they visited some of the city’s best-loved attractions.
From seeing the artwork of Dali and Picasso to visiting the Sagrada Familia, Business and Economics Teacher, Carl Mustill, said: “Whatever course you are doing, you could not fail to be astonished by an experience like this.
“The whole trip was a fantastic opportunity for our students, it offered the chance to share and experience a different culture.”
A group of 21 SRC Bede students spent five days exploring some of the highlights of Barcelona.
Carl said: “It was great to be able to bring different courses together to share the same experiences. Of course the Art students loved visiting the likes of the Dali Theatre and Museum and seeing the work, most of which he installed himself.
“But it was also a great experience for our Business students as they not only got to see the artwork but they were also encouraged to consider things like the way that it is marketed.” From the hushed surrounds of the Picasso Museum to the family friendly approach of the Dali Theatre, Carl said: “It was quite a contrast and interesting to see how the two differed.”
ere was further opportunity to learn about leisure and tourism in international business with a visit to the home of Barcelona Football Club, Camp Nou.
And students also enjoyed a sweet surprise with a visit to the Trias biscuit factory.
