Behind every great performance lies a team of sound and lighting technician’s ensuring music, lighting and audio are totally in sync with the actors and the script.
On a visit to see a rehearsal of Northfield’s production of Macbeth, BCN caught up with ex pupil Chris Andrews (now studying at SRC Bede 6th Form) and Year 8 students Jake Mayes and Matthew Cooper who coordinated all the lighting and sound during the show. Chris said he got involved as a sound and lighting technician when he was in Year 8 and has now a host of school productions he has supported including Little Shop of Horrors which was one of his favourite shows. Jake and Matthew are pleased to be working with such and experience hand and both interested in discovering more about opportunities in the technical side of productions.
Chris is keen to stay engaged in stage production as he studies Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Bede, so if anyone has a role in a theatre company for a stage hand or a production technician, please email Chris to discuss at: firstname.lastname@example.org
