Can we Dig it, Yes we Can!!!

You may remember pictures from last year when the young people from The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints volunteered to help at our Community Games held in SRC Bede 6th Form College in June, they contacted BCN again this year asking to be involved in another community project, without hesitation, we directed them down to the BELP Horticultural Project in Port Clarence. The projects polytunnel’s supports the schools project ran by Billingham Environmental Links Project, the community garden and orchard are planted, the community raised beds are all taking shape, with the huge faith garden that is planned to create a spiritual area of peace and tranquillity is next big phase of development, followed by the lavender park.


Clipper Logistics – Eggstraordinary

HR Manager Sandra Pickering set her staff the challenge to showcase the traditional ‘paste eggs’ and was in for a great surprise when staff donated chocolate eggs which she asked Billingham Legacy Foundation to distribute to those in need in our community.

Steve Redgrave Northfield

Northfield welcomes Sir Steve Redgrave

Pupils at Northfield Sports College welcomed Sir Steve Redgrave on 8 May, during his visit to launch the Matalan Sporting Promise Initiative here in Billingham. Northfield were one of only 6 schools in the UK to receive a visit in person from Sir Steve to kick start the Sporting Promise Programme being ran in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust.
