Stockton Synthonia Male Voice Choir was formed at the beginning of the year through the amalgamation of Stockton and Synthonia Male Voice Choirs.  We had a very successful first annual concert on 1st October at Holy Trinity Church, Stockton.  Our Musical Director is Janet Howells who also conducts the ladies of the Middleton Choir from Saltburn who joined us for the concert.  We welcomed as our soloists Sue Jennings, mezzo soprano, who has recently gained a diploma from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, and Ewan Murray, a talented young pianist.  Our accompanist for the evening was Jenny Hesford.  Over £200 was raised for each choir.

The choir is now practising hard for several engagements in the lead up to Christmas. In particular; we have been invited by The Rotary Club of Teesside West to perform their annual Christmas Concert which is to be held at Yarm Methodist Church on Saturday 17th December commencing at 7.30pm.  Our soloists on this occasion will be Rebecca Toth, soprano and Trevor Blease, organ.  Tickets are £7.50 and obtainable from Stuart Cook (01642 892698), choir secretary, or David Berry (01642 781015).

If you would like to book the Choir for a concert or wish to consider singing in the choir, please contact Peter Mason 01325 288278 or Stuart Cook.  The choir practises at the Synthonia Club, Belasis Avenue, Billingham on Monday evenings 7.30-9.30pm.
